Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking a friendly Restaurant Host to welcome guests, seat them promptly, and help ensure a smooth dining flow. You will interact with guests in a hospitable, informative manner and use seating rotation to keep service fair and efficient.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean greeter station, coordinating with servers, and assisting with menu revisions as needed. Strong communication and teamwork within the hotel are essential to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in hospitality is preferred.
• Comfort with tablets and iPads for front-of-house tasks.
• Willingness to assist with menu revisions when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm, friendly welcome.
• Converse with guests in a hospitable and informative manner.
• Use a fair seating rotation to optimize flow.
• Report to shift on time in proper uniform/attire.
• Work as a team with all hotel staff.
• Keep greeter station clean and front of restaurant tidy.
• Ensure tables are set and ready for seating with guests.
• Communicate seating needs to servers and assist as needed.
• Know hotel areas and private dining flow, and manage dining room tempo.
