Job summary

Waynflete is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant Extended Day Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site, part-time role supports the Extended Day program with supervision, activities, and caring instruction for young learners.

Schedule totals 15.5 hours weekly with potential for extra hours; duties include attendance tracking, prep, and end-of-day cleanup, plus participation in special days. Qualifications include 1+ year of EC experience and a caring, energetic approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with children in an Early Childhood setting.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedicated to working collaboratively with a diverse team of talented teachers.
• Passion for working with children and creating meaningful experiences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the Early Childhood classroom for the Extended Day program.
• Be in person for all days and hours noted below.
• Work at least one First Out (5:30pm) per week.
• Assist with activities such as: games, songs, program projects and more.
• Interact with students and colleagues from a place of enthusiasm, curiosity and professionalism.
• Keep the safety of students in mind at all times.
• Diligently track attendance.
• Complete prep and end of day clean up responsibilities.
• Communicate incidents in a timely manner to the Auxiliary Programs Manager.
• Participate in all of the Full Fun Days (10/23/25, 1/15/27, 3/19/27, 5/7/27, 5/14/27)
• Complete DHHS requirements: fingerprinting approval, MRTQ registration, MMR and Tdap vaccination records, online safety training, professional development hours, etc.
