Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA is seeking a Communications Intern to gain hands-on experience across media relations, executive communications, research, and storytelling. You will assist multiple communications teams, support senior leaders’ social strategies, conduct media research, and help draft materials and updates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated written communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist Disney Entertainment Television Communications teams with department initiatives and projects.
• Support the social strategy for senior executive leaders, including drafting initial copy and caption options and compiling monthly performance data.
• Conduct research on media trends, entertainment news, industry developments, and audience insights.
• Monitor and compile media coverage, press clips, podcasts, and social media activity.
• Assist with drafting and editing communications materials, presentations, executive biographies, and internal updates.
• Maintain project trackers, editorial calendars, media lists, and other communications resources.
• Contribute creative ideas and perspective during team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
• Support project coordination needs as assigned.
