Job summary

Image Engineering in Baltimore, MD is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our fabrication team. You will assemble mechanical and plumbing sub-assemblies, read engineering drawings, and use hand and power tools to build complex entertainment-grade equipment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with QA paperwork and inventory processes in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years in mechanical/electrical assembly a plus.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and plumbing sub-assemblies
  • Interpret diagrams, drawings, or written instructions to assemble parts to engineering specification
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Complete assembly QA paperwork in collaboration with other engineering team members
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with company procedures
  • Assess assemblies for quality assurance and defects, complete QC paperwork
  • Assist the Manager, Fabrication & Assembly with maintaining the inventory management for the Engineering and Fabrication department
  • Accept, inventory, and properly store Incoming materials, components, and hardware
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures and rules
