Job summary

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Legal Intern to join our legal team in Calabasas, CA. This paid internship focuses on drafting documents and performing research and analysis under the VP, Business & Legal Affairs.

Responsibilities include learning how laws apply to real-world productions, reviewing transactional documents, and researching issues relevant to our programming and productions. On-site work required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be currently enrolled in at least second year of Law School (2L/3L) with coursework in contracts, copyright and entertainment/media law.
• Previous industry experience prior to law school is a plus.
• Typical commitment is 16-29 hours per week.
• Must be motivated with an Everything is possible attitude.
• Must be an active problem solver with urgency for projects large and small.
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac's brands.

Responsibilities

• Learn how laws and regulations are applied in a real-world setting.
• Prepare, review/analyze, and finalize transactional documents.
• Analyze issues related to production and programming; perform general research relating to our business.

Education

Law school enrollment (2L/3L) with contracts, copyright & entertainment/media law coursework
