Job summary

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern to join the legal team in Calabasas, CA. The role focuses on drafting documents and performing research and analysis, reporting to VP, Business & Legal Affairs. This is a paid internship and not a remote position.

Responsibilities include learning how laws are applied, preparing and finalizing transactional documents, and analyzing issues related to production and programming while performing general research for the business.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in law school as a 2L or 3L with coursework in contracts, copyright and entertainment/media law.
• Strong motivation, initiative and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work 16–29 hours per week and handle deadlines.
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac brands is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn how laws and regulations are applied in real-world settings.
• Prepare, review and finalize transactional documents.
• Analyze issues related to development of production and programming.
• Conduct general legal research related to the business.
