Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. offers a summer internship in New York City for students pursuing Insurance, Risk Management, or related fields. The program blends hands-on underwriting tasks with data analysis, loss history review, and risk assessment in a fast-paced environment.

The hybrid role runs June 2, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with 3 days onsite and 2 days from home in NYC. Compensation includes an hourly rate and Arch benefits.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing studies in Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, Business Analytics, Entertainment Business, Music Business, Theater, English, Data Analytics, or related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
• College level - current Junior or Senior student, graduation December 2027–May 2028.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, strongly preferred.
• Experience with data visualization tools preferred.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be a continuous learner.
• Team player who collaborates effectively.
• Self-starter who can work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on underwriting experience with entertainment-related risks, including property and casualty exposures.
• Assist underwriters by collecting and analyzing data for risk assessment.
• Learn to compile and evaluate loss history data and details of prior losses.
• Review film productions for theatrical release, including TV series, commercials, and music videos, live events.
• Coordinate with the risk control team to provide up-to-date information to underwriters.
• Engage in real-world underwriting tasks in a fast-paced industry.
