USA TODAY Co., Inc. is seeking an innovative Audience Editor to lead audience growth for Entertainment. You will guide strategy, monitor analytics, and translate insights into newsroom storytelling across social, search and newsletters.

You will manage a small team of content creators and collaborate with monetization efforts. The role requires newsroom experience, strong leadership, and a passion for distributing journalism across dynamic platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5 years of newsroom experience, preferably in an audience development role at a digitally-focused media organization with expertise in entertainment.
Journalism experience and prior management experience are mandatory.
Proven ability to tell stories via social media, search and newsletters across platforms such as Reddit, Discord, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, Threads, etc.

Responsibilities

Develop strategies to grow audience on search, social and newsletters for USA TODAY Entertainment.
Monitor analytics and translate data into actionable steps for journalists and teams.
Lead audience planning for events, major coverage, and breaking news.
Create or optimize audience-focused content during events.
Collaborate with monetization teams to grow audience and revenue on platforms.
Manage a team of content creators to ensure brand voice and execution.
