JOB TITLE: Wastewater Treatment Operator
REPORTS TO: Environmental Engineer
PURPOSE: Responsible for the sludge press and monitoring wastewater treatment facility conditions throughout shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Maintain Enterprise predictive maintenance schedule for wastewater treatment equipment.
2) Participate in on or off-site training as required
3) Operate sludge belt press at WWTP during 3rd shift.
4) Understand and make necessary adjustments to polymer for sludge press
5) Understand WWTP sludge removal process
6) Completes off shift WWTP monitoring checks
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Wastewater Treatment Licensing/Experience Preferred but not Required
2) Operates Sludge Belt Press at Wastewater Treatment Plant
3) Understands and makes necessary adjustments to polymer for sludge press
4) Understands wastewater treatment plant sludge removal process
5) Calibration of Wastewater Treatment plant testing equipment

1) Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

3) Honeywell Controllers
4) InTouch/Wonderware
MACHINES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:
1) Various Mechanical tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
2) Various Power Tools (drill, grinder, port-a-band, etc.)
3) Safety Glasses
4) Goggles
5) Voltmeter/ AMP meter
6) Lab equipment such as pH meters and flow meters
7) Various predicate maintenance tools- vibration, ultrasonics, & infrared

AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME:
Training time is based on the knowledge and education of the associate and the required certifications needed to perform certain tasks.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION
1) Standing: Ability to stand while operating on equipment 30% of day
2) Sitting: Ability to sit down for meetings & computer work 30% of day
3) Walking: Ability to move throughout the plant: 50% of day
4) Lifting: Ability to lift up to 30lbs: 20% of day
Ability to lift up to 10lbs: 30% of day
5) Climbing: Ability to walk up steps at equipment/sludge press 5% of day
6) Bending: Ability to pick up objects from the floor, checking readings, etc 5% of day
7) Visual Acuity: Ability to read documents, computer screens, and meters 100% of day
