Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a senior UAT leader to guide enterprise-wide user acceptance testing across banking platforms. You will shape testing governance, manage high-performing teams, and ensure releases meet business, regulatory, and risk requirements.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive UAT strategy, coordinate with stakeholders, and leverage tools like Jira and HP ALM to deliver audit-ready technology at scale.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years leading UAT programs in banking or financial services.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
• Deep expertise in UAT methodology - test strategy, test plan design, defect triage, entry/exit criteria and sign-off.
• 4+ years managing a team of UAT analysts across multiple projects or business lines.
• Proficiency with test management tools like Jira and HP ALM; familiarity with test automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and execution of enterprise-wide UAT across banking platforms.
• Develop and govern UAT testing standards, governance, and risk controls.
• Manage UAT requests for the entire supported business groups and coordinate stakeholders.
• Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to inform decisions.
• Oversee test plan creation, test case development, execution, and defect resolution.
• Drive change management activities and communication to ensure adoption and compliance.
• Mentor and develop UAT analysts; monitor performance and accountability.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to align testing with strategy.
