Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a senior UAT leader to drive enterprise-wide testing across banking platforms. You will own test strategy, governance, and exit criteria, leading cross-functional teams to ensure audit-ready releases.

The role is hybrid in Chicago and requires SDLC and Agile expertise with a proven track record in managing UAT programs within financial services. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience with at least 4 years leading UAT programs in banking or financial services environment.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.
• Deep expertise in UAT methodology - test strategy, test plan design, defect triage, entry/exit criteria and formal sign off process.
• 4+ years managing a team of UAT analysts, testers across multiple projects or business lines.
• Proficiency with test management tools like Jira and HP ALM.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks.
• Openness to evaluating and adopting emerging tools including AI for test case authoring and UAT documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs user acceptance testing for projects of various complexities, including but not limited to developing and managing the test strategy.
• Creates and reviews test cases to ensure traceability, executes test cases, escalates issues, logs outcomes and participates in defect meetings.
• Reviews and validates defect resolutions and develops exit reports.
• Develops UAT solutions and makes recommendations aligned with business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Coordinates parties to execute the overall test plan, provides estimates on the UAT cycle and determines the schedule.
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, development and implementation of UAT solutions.
• Builds relationships with stakeholders and leads change management activities of varying scope.
• Monitors UAT performance results and addresses issues to ensure quality of execution.
