Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Senior Associate in the Advisory Transaction M&A Technology practice to deliver enterprise technology diligence and execution support for Private Equity and strategic clients across the transaction lifecycle. You will focus on technology environments—infrastructure, applications, data platforms, operating models—and translate findings into actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technology diligence, IT advisory, technology consulting, or a related role supporting transactions.
• Strong understanding of technology operating models, cloud platforms, and software engineering environments.
• Experience working on Private Equity-backed transactions.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing communications.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

• Execute enterprise technology diligence workstreams for buy-side and sell-side transactions, including assessment of core enterprise applications and infrastructure.
• Assess cloud platforms, hosting models, cloud cost structures, and scalability.
• Analyze data platforms, integration architecture, and analytics foundations.
• Review IT operating models, governance, and service delivery.
• Evaluate cybersecurity and privacy considerations within diligence.
• Support integration and separation planning efforts.
• Translate diligence findings into remediation plans and value implications.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure coordinated client delivery.
• Support proposal development, work planning, and budgeting in engagements.
• Identify opportunities for scope expansion related to cloud modernization.
• Contribute to development of diligence methodologies and playbooks.
