Job summary

Grant Thornton is hiring a Product Technology Manager to evaluate software platforms through commercial, operational, and financial lenses. You’ll lead diligence engagements for Private Equity and strategic clients, tying roadmap credibility to valuation and margins.

From day one, you’ll analyze architecture, cloud costs, and roadmaps, helping clients achieve their vision while advancing your own career in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years in software engineering leadership, architecture consulting, product strategy advisory, or tech diligence.
• Experience in SaaS, marketplace, fintech, vertical software, or platform environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud cost structures and DevOps environments.
• Strong analytical capability and problem-solving.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to operate fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application architecture and scalability.
• Review cloud infrastructure and cost structure.
• Assess product modularity and extensibility.
• Analyze technical debt and refactoring risk.
• Review SDLC processes and engineering metrics.
• Support analysis of hosting cost models and R&D cost allocation.
• Assist in assessing roadmap investment requirements.
• Link technical findings to growth, scalability, and margin implications.
• Support development of investment-grade red flag reports.
• Evaluate engineering productivity and governance.
• Identify operational inefficiencies impacting roadmap delivery.
