Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking an Enterprise Systems Specialist to deepen the understanding of the University's enterprise information systems, focusing on process and workflow analysis, enhanced module functionality, and application upgrade support.

You will assist users, coordinate system configurations, tackle information systems problems, interact with vendors on upgrades, and help drive quality improvements across HR, finance and student services.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep understanding of the University's enterprise information systems, emphasizing process/workflow analysis, module functionality, and upgrade support.
• Assist users in functional areas to apply best practices and offer subject-matter expertise to internal and external clients as required.
• Manage and coordinate system process configuration to support functional areas.
• Coordinate information systems problem solving, solution development, decision-making, and planning to support current and future business needs.
• Recommend actions to improve operations and correct data issues impacting HR, Financial, or Student activities; facilitate quality improvement.
• Support production-critical activities during non-business hours as needed, which may include evenings or weekends.
• Keep informed of and apply contemporary technology related to enterprise systems.
• Interact with vendors regarding software upgrades, patches, and related activities.
• Perform other related responsibilities as assigned for an Enterprise Systems Specialist.

Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Provide the highest level of understanding of the University's enterprise information systems. Focus includes continued process and workflow analysis, enhanced module functionality, and application/upgrade support.
2. Assist users in functional areas to understand and apply best practices and provide subject-matter expertise to internal and external clients as required.
3. Manage and coordinate system process configuration to support functional areas.
4. Manage and coordinate information systems problem solving, solution development, decision-making, and participate in planning that will further the mission and vision of the current and future business environment
5. Recommend action to improve operations and correct sources of error in information that impacts University Human Resources, Financial and/or Student activities. Facilitate quality improvement efforts.
6. Support production-critical activities during non-business hours, as needed. This may require evening or weekend hours, depending on the business cycle of the University.
7. Keep informed of and apply contemporary technology related to enterprise systems.
8. Interact with vendors regarding software upgrades, patches, etc.
9. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned as appropriate for an Enterprise Systems Specialist.
