Job summary

General Matter in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Software Engineer, Enterprise Systems to own integrations connecting engineering, manufacturing, and business systems. Your first project moves released parts, BOMs, and engineering data from PLM/PDM to MES end-to-end.

You will write production code in C#/.NET, work with REST APIs and enterprise platforms, and build the data movement infrastructure to scale across the company.

Qualifications

• Experience with systems integration and enterprise software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building production integrations via REST APIs, SDKs, and services.
• Strong C#/.NET development, or comparable language; Python/Java/C++ acceptable.
• Solid APIs, data mapping, and integration patterns with SQL fundamentals.
• Experience with source control and CI/CD pipelines (Git, modern tooling).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Build and own integrations across MES, WMS, QMS, PLM/PDM, ERP, and CRM/HRIS over time.
• Own PLM/PDM-to-MES pipeline integration including master data and BOMs.
• Develop and maintain API integrations and custom services against REST APIs.
• Extend platforms with native tools when out-of-box config is not enough.
• Implement production-grade monitoring, logging, retries, and data mappings.
• Coordinate with Security and IT on authentication, encryption, and access control with CI/CD.
• Own data migration tasks including extraction, mapping, cleansing, validation, and cutover.
