Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a senior corporate strategist to lead enterprise strategy development, planning cycles, and OKR governance. You will frame strategic questions, build business cases, and translate priorities into actionable plans while partnering with senior leaders for execution.

The role requires exceptional analytical skills, executive communication, and experience with data-driven decision support in a regulated life sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, life sciences, finance, economics, operations, strategy, data analytics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, strategy execution, business operations, transformation, consulting, finance, analytics, program management, or a related role.
• Experience supporting strategy development, enterprise strategic planning, OKR, KPI, roadmap, performance management, business review, or portfolio prioritization processes in a cross‑functional environment.
• Experience conducting financial analysis, business case development, opportunity sizing, market assessment, operating model analysis, performance analysis, or investment evaluation to support strategic decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex workstreams, manage competing priorities, drive alignment across stakeholders, and move initiatives from opportunity identification and scoping through planning and execution.
• Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving skills, including ability to assess financial and performance data, identify trends, evaluate opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, executive‑ready materials for senior leaders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel; comfort working with financial models, performance reporting, dashboards, and project or execution management tools.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support enterprise strategy development and planning cycles.
• Identify and scope new strategic opportunities with workplans and leadership input.
• Perform financial, commercial, and operational analyses to inform decisions.
• Manage OKR governance and execution cadence with leaders.
• Monitor performance against priorities and escalate risks.
• Develop executive-ready updates, dashboards, and business cases.
• Support priority initiatives with scope, milestones, and stakeholder plans.
• Strengthen strategy execution infrastructure and reporting standards.
• Perform other duties to support organizational objectives.
