UNICOM Engineering in Plano, TX seeks an experienced engineering professional specializing in enterprise server hardware, system validation, and advanced cooling technologies. You will provision, configure, validate, and maintain server platforms, set up labs, and support product development and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise server hardware or engineering experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days; Linux+ or LFCS beneficial.
• Proficiency with lab tools and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with air, liquid, and immersion cooling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, validate, and maintain enterprise server platforms (Windows/Linux OS, BIOS, BMC, firmware).
• Set up and support engineering labs, test benches, and validation environments.
• Prepare servers for air-cooled and immersion cooling test environments.
• Perform hardware assembly, upgrades, soldering, and cable fabrication.
• Create automation scripts to improve testing and data collection.
• Support manufacturing builds, qualification testing, and product transition.
• Assist with regulatory testing (EMC/EMI, safety, environmental).
• Provide guidance to technicians and coordinate cross-functional activities.
