GDIT seeks a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Senior Systems Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) mission at Fort Belvoir, VA.
Essential Experience, Knowledge, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate existing hardware/software technology systems and design technological improvements.
- Monitor and verify the availability, validity, and reliability of the enterprise infrastructure and services.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure hardware, software, network, domain, and client service issues.
- Oversee enterprise infrastructure Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans, operations, and procedures.
- Develop, test, implement, and execute upgrade strategies for Windows-based operating systems, databases, and services.
- Plan and implement security hardening activities in accordance with requirements.
- Administer Windows servers in virtualized environments with advanced experience.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and deploying Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) methodologies.
- Possess fundamental knowledge of RSA SecurID multifactor authentication processes.
- Research, plan, propose, and brief Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) on enterprise infrastructure hardware, operating systems, and applications, with recommendations of appropriate Course of Action (COA).
- Provide technical guidance on emerging IT industry developments and technology capabilities.
- Review and manage mitigation efforts for vulnerabilities identified in Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) reports.
- Maintain, implement, and report on security posture concerns via Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
- Author Documented Risk Acceptance (DRA) documentation and brief the Cybersecurity Team and/or Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
- Advise Cybersecurity Team on technical matters related to enterprise infrastructure and services.
- Audit, remediate, and report Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance status.
- Create engineering documentation, diagrams, and configuration artifacts for enterprise infrastructure.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure enterprise services meet IT business requirements for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud solutions.
- Track, plan, and implement lifecycle management for hardware and software.
- Manage, track, document, and communicate project status.
- Lead team projects and liaise with all program aspects, working independently or within a team.
- Demonstrate skillful time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and priorities.
- Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience with DISA STIGs for Windows, Linux, and VMWare security.
- Intermediate PowerShell scripting and deployment experience.
- Experience building, deploying, and administering Windows Server 2016-2022.
- Experience providing Active Directory Domain Services and PKI services.
- Ability to install, configure, and upgrade hosted applications and OS services.
- Experience working with Trellix Security Suite.
Minimum Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 8+ years of experience.
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, or SSCP).
- Minimum of a DoD Final Secret security clearance at start.

Salary range: $123,250 - $166,750. Compensation depends on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
