Job Description
The selected candidate's primary responsibilities will be to provide design, installation, operations, maintenance, system engineering and sustainment engineering for the Head of State network of a government agency. Design, plan, coordinate, and install secure communications links in support of the Senior Executives, National Security Council, and others as directed. Acquire and manage all Department of Defense and commercial telecommunications connectivity supporting the Head of State circuits worldwide. Provide real-time systems management control for all Head of State circuits and secure communications worldwide. Establish maintenance and operating guidelines for direct secure communications links between the United States and host nations. Provide the receipt, issue, safeguarding, and destruction of all United States and foreign COMSEC material and equipment.

This position is located in Washington DC. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Washington DC or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or related discipline and 8 years of related experience OR High school diploma and a minimum of 10 years of related experience

Security + certification in accordance with DOD 8570 instruction
Knowledge of Wide Area Networks and secure voice assets configuration (i.e., vIPer phones)
IP network experience
BoIP and VoIP experience
Knowledge of test equipment: O-scope, Fireberd, transmission test sets
Capable of systems analysis with highly complex technologies
Familiarity with patch panels
Knowledge of telecommunications fundamentals
Ability to be self-reliant
Capability to perform essential technical maintenance activities without direct supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to professionally interact with high level military officers and civilian officials on a daily basis
Quality assurance experience with both new and upgraded telecommunications systems
Trainer / training experience
Positive service oriented attitude
Military experience / knowledge of customs and courtesies
Experience with larger enterprise IP networks and related networking equipment
Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco IP Systems

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Network + certifications in accordance with DOD 8570 instruction
Experience with the development and presentation of briefings
Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCP, MCS)
Cisco Networking certification (CCNA/CCNP)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
