Job summary

Akkodis is partnering with a global automotive client to recruit an Enterprise Security Architect in the Dearborn, MI area. This contract role focuses on leading secure, scalable enterprise architectures for cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments, with four days onsite weekly.

The role drives Zero Trust principles, AI-security integration, and secure SDLC adoption, while guiding governance, standards, and modernization initiatives for executive audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 7+ years ofSecurity Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or related architectural leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust principles and implementation strategies.
• Experience securing cloud and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Expertise in application security, API security, identity and access management, and data protection.
• Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and security governance.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Experience developing architecture standards, reference architectures, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security architecture initiatives across cloud, hybrid, application, and AI platforms.
• Define and implement Zero Trust security strategies, standards, and reference architectures.
• Design secure solutions for identity and access management, API security, data protection, operational resilience, and workload security.
• Architect and govern production AI and agentic systems, ensuring secure permissions, tool access controls, monitoring, oversight, and containment mechanisms.
• Develop and promote an AI-native Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) that embeds security controls, guardrails, and automated verification.
• Conduct threat modeling exercises and evaluate implementation evidence to identify risks and guide remediation efforts.
• Translate security policies and business requirements into actionable architectural patterns, frameworks, and engineering standards.
• Establish architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and governance processes that align with business objectives.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Provide strategic guidance to senior business and technology leaders on cybersecurity, modernization, and innovation initiatives.
• Drive research, innovation, and architecture maturity efforts across the organization.

Akkodis is proud to partner with a global automotive client who is seeking a Enterprise Security Architect to lead the development of secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise architectures supporting modern cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments.

This role will drive the strategic direction of cybersecurity architecture, advancing Zero Trust principles while enabling business modernization through secure application and AI solutions. This is a contractual opportunity in the Dearborn, MI area (Requires 4 days onsite weekly)

Pay Range: $75/hr. - $90/hr. (W2) (Market) - The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
