Job summary

University of Minnesota is seeking an Academic Scheduling Business Process Lead to drive system-wide academic scheduling optimizations and manage 25Live and PeopleSoft workflows. You will develop data-driven insights, support annual reporting, and coordinate with stakeholders across campuses.

The role requires strong SQL/PeopleSoft skills, experience with data warehouses, and excellent communication. Hybrid work is available, with eligibility considerations for Minnesota-based relocation.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required, plus
  • Two years of work experience in business or systems process analysis with a related degree, or Master's degree
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis best practices, project management, and system troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, manage projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system-wide academic scheduling optimizations and final exam batch scheduling; analyze user requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Lead work-flow for schedule of classes production; maintain PeopleSoft Schedule of Classes and 25Live processes; guide junior staff.
  • Document related business processes and requirements; communicate updates to users and stakeholders.
  • Support data extraction for annual reporting using Scheduling DB, PeopleSoft, and Data Warehouse; develop and test upgrades.
  • Provide backup for 25Live System Administrator; assist in design changes and software impacts.
