Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Manager, Safety & Security Programs and Training to build and govern enterprise safety programs across North American operations. You will lead LMS, training governance, and provide subject matter guidance to regional teams from Grainger's Lake Forest HQ.

You will collaborate with operations, HR, and legal to align safety initiatives, maintain compliance, and drive enterprise learning programs with a focus on scalable, measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in EH&S, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Business, Education, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive EH&S, Security, Learning & Development, Program Management, or related experience in a multi-site environment.
• Experience developing enterprise training programs, governance processes, learning content, organizational capability initiatives, and administering LMS.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, environmental safety regulatory requirements.
• Experience collaborating across Operations, HR, Legal, and other functions to lead complex initiatives.
• Certifications such as CSP/ASP/CHMM/ATD are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, govern, implement, and continuously improve enterprise Safety & Security programs and resources.
• Lead administration and improvements of the Safety & Security management system and LMS governance.
• Develop learning programs, curricula, and awareness initiatives; oversee compliance and reporting.
• Manage contractor safety requirements and platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta).
• Develop risk assessment tools, templates, and emergency-preparedness resources.
• Evaluate program effectiveness with benchmarks and stakeholder alignment.
• Coach regional Safety & Security professionals and lead enterprise initiatives.
