Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a detail-oriented risk analyst to support the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program across quantitative analysis, regulatory deliverables, and related activities. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing quantitative models, supporting regulatory processes, and collaborating with experts across the enterprise.

Ideal candidates will have strong data skills, experience with Excel, SQL, VBA, and exposure to Python or R.

Qualifications

• Experience with quantitative analysis or financial/statistical modeling.
• Proficient Excel skills; working SQL and VBA knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly.
• Willingness to learn complex models and maintain them over time.
• Self-starter with ability to ask questions and own assignments.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of quantitative risk models, data flows, assumptions, dependencies and business context.
• Support enterprise economic capital model and risk-quantification tools; investigate issues and implement changes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to translate business info into quantitative analysis.
• Prepare and analyze complex datasets with profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
• Use SQL, Excel, and optionally VBA, R, or Python to extract data and perform analysis; support modeling and reporting.
• Maintain auditable documentation of data sources, rules, models, and governance activities.
• Support stress-scenario development and enterprise risk quantification.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Take ownership, ask thoughtful questions, and identify opportunities to improve data quality and processes.
