Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a detail-oriented risk analyst to support the Enterprise Risk Management program. You will maintain quantitative models, assist with regulatory deliverables, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven risk insights.

The role requires strong Excel/SQL skills, familiarity with VBA, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to enhance modeling and governance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience with quantitative analysis, financial or statistical modeling, or complex coursework.
• Proficiency in Excel with working SQL and VBA knowledge.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, data integrity, and documentation.
• Ability to learn complex models and maintain them over time.
• Self-starter mindset with ownership of assignments.
• Experience with PowerQuery is a plus.
• Exposure to risk management, statistics, or financial statements is helpful.
• Familiarity with GRC, project management, or workflow tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of quantitative risk models, data flows and business context.
• Support enterprise capital model and risk-quantification tools; test and reconcile results.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate business info into quantitative analysis.
• Prepare complex datasets: profiling, cleansing, validation, and transformation.
• Use SQL, Excel, and VBA, and possibly R/Python for data analysis and reporting.
• Maintain clear, auditable documentation of data sources and methodologies.
• Support stress-scenario development and enterprise risk quantification.
• Build relationships and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, controls, and processes.
