Job summary

Scheels Corporate Office is seeking an experienced risk management leader to design and mature an enterprise risk program using COSO and ISO 31000. You will partner with executive teams to set risk appetite, assess threats, and drive remediation across the organization.

The role requires 5-7+ years in ERM, internal audit, or compliance, with strong analytics and cross-functional collaboration. Retail multi-state experience is preferred and Scheels offers ownership through ESOP and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 5-7+ years in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or compliance.
• Experience designing or maturing an ERM/compliance program preferred.
• Retail or multi-state environment experience a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to connect risks across the business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Create a scalable risk management program using COSO/ISO 31000.
• Develop risk universe, appetite guidance, rating criteria and register.
• Lead enterprise risk assessment cycles with leadership across Scheels.
• Improve the risk program to handle new threats and changes.
