About the Role

We are seeking a Senior ERP Strategy & RFP Consultant to lead the early phases of a multi-year initiative to replace our legacy PeopleSoft platform. This high-impact role will be responsible for gathering enterprise-wide business and technical requirements, shaping the future-state architecture, and managing the RFP process to select a modern cloud-based ERP system.

This position is remote within Texas, but on-site travel to Houston will be required periodically, typically one full week per month during key phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define current-state vs. future-state process needs across Finance, HR, and related functions.
• Lead discovery workshops, interviews, and process mapping to gather detailed requirements.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive RFP process, including evaluation criteria, scoring matrix, and demo use cases.
• Provide market insight into modern ERP platforms (e.g., Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP, UKG).
• Collaborate with legal, procurement, and leadership teams to evaluate and recommend vendors.
• Build a scalable implementation roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Ensure change management readiness, stakeholder alignment, and executive communication.
• Remain engaged through post-RFP phases as an advisor or PMO leader (optional but preferred).

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ERP strategy, transformation, or consulting roles.
• Proven success replacing PeopleSoft HCM and/or Financials with modern SaaS solutions.
• Experience leading RFPs and vendor evaluations for enterprise platforms.
• Strong business process knowledge across HR, Finance, and/or Supply Chain.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to Houston, TX for critical workshops and steering committee meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in large-scale ERP programs (Workday, Oracle Cloud, SAP S/4HANA, UKG).
• Experience working with public sector, education, or healthcare clients is a plus.
• PMP or Prosci certification a bonus.
