Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a seasoned Quality Control Manager to lead enterprise QA, testing validation, and release readiness for SCEIS and related enterprise applications. This onsite role in Columbia requires strategic leadership for quality management, governance, automation, and continuous improvement to ensure secure, reliable systems aligned with business objectives.

• Experience leading enterprise software quality assurance with large-scale IT environments.
• Proven ability to define testing standards, governance, and release readiness.
• Knowledge of ALM, test automation, and quality reporting.
• Ability to communicate risks and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Quality Control organization and oversee quality activities for SCEIS and enterprise apps.
• Direct quality management for enhancements, upgrades, and production support.
• Establish governance for ALM and enterprise testing efforts.
• Oversee testing activities to ensure release readiness and production quality.
• Validate testing outcomes and support release approval and readiness.
• Promote automation initiatives and maintain testing assets and frameworks.
• Oversee defect management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support Change Management and develop quality dashboards and reports.
• Maintain quality records and support internal/external audits.
• Provide SME support to leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders.
