Job summary

Read AI is seeking a Product Designer to shape enterprise experiences across configurations, permissions, and administration. You’ll work with Product, Engineering, and Research to translate complex requirements into intuitive interfaces that balance power and simplicity.

You’ll own end-to-end design from exploration through launch, build strong IA, enhance navigation, and ship thoughtful feedback and error handling. A portfolio in B2B SaaS helps.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and shipping digital products with a portfolio showing strong interaction and visual craft.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and information-heavy interfaces without losing essential functionality.
• Strong information architecture skills to organize settings, navigation, and content by user needs.
• Experience designing beyond the happy path, including different user states, permissions, errors, and recovery paths.
• Systems thinking and consistency across product experiences.
• Ability to independently own well-scoped product initiatives from exploration through implementation.
• Sound product judgment to explore, compare options, and make thoughtful trade-offs.
• Collaborates well with Product and Engineering, including navigating technical constraints.
• Experience using research, customer feedback, or product data to inform design decisions.
• Ability to prototype interactions for evaluating experience, not just appearance.
• Fluency with AI-assisted design tools and a curiosity to improve design quality and speed.
• A collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and continual craft improvement.

Responsibilities

• Enterprise workflows and administration: design intuitive experiences for configuring, managing, and using Read across organizations.
• Clarity and consistency: improve IA, navigation, and interaction patterns across enterprise experiences.
• Trust and control: make important actions, permissions, and system states easy to understand with thoughtful feedback.
• End-to-end product design: partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to turn complex requirements into intuitive solutions; prototype, deliver, and refine.
