Job summary

ISMG is seeking an AI Product Designer to own the front-end and interaction design for AI-powered products, from stakeholder talks to deployed applications. You will prototype workflows, validate designs with clients, and translate AI workflows into clear, task-oriented interfaces.

You will build with AI-assisted tools, establish a design system, and ensure accessibility and performance across enterprise contexts, while collaborating with multiple business units and Azure-based deployment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of enterprise front-end/UI/UX product development and design.
• Strong understanding of user flows, interaction patterns, responsive UX, and intuitive interface design.
• Experience with user-centered product discovery and evidence-based UX decisions.
• Advanced proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and semantic HTML.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise UX fundamentals: accessibility (WCAG/ARIA), performance, and dense data visualization.
• Experience using Claude for prototyping and Claude Code with VS Code/Cursor to turn UI/UX requirements into production-ready frontend code.
• Advanced design-system capability and expertise in Tailwind CSS, design tokens, themes, and dark mode.
• Experience with cross-platform mobile/tablet design for compatibility across devices.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub/Bitbucket repositories and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the front-end and interaction design for AI products end to end—from stakeholder conversations to deployed applications.
• Conduct lightweight user research, prototype workflows, and validate designs with clients and internal users.
• Translate complex AI and reporting workflows into clear information architecture and task-oriented experiences.
• Solve interaction problems specific to AI output: confidence signals, citations display, reviewer approvals of machine-generated drafts, and handling uncertainty without eroding trust.
• Build with AI-assisted development tooling and rehome output into ISMG’s Azure environment and DevOps pipelines.
• Establish a design system with components, states, data visualization patterns, and accessibility baseline.
• Maintain Figma libraries, design tokens, and design-to-code handoff processes.
• Design for enterprise realities: role-based access, dense data, audit trails, exports, responsive behavior, and accessible patterns.
• Instrument usage data via Application Insights and feed insights back into the roadmap.
• Collaborate with AI Innovation Manager on API contracts and with editorial/marketing/sales teams on needs.
