Job summary

Mendix is seeking a Presales Solution Architect to help customers adopt Mendix on Private Mendix Platform in customer-managed environments, including air-gapped and sovereign deployments. You will engage prospects, build deployment topologies, and conduct workshops across regulated industries.

The role requires deep technical design, solid communication, and the ability to deliver demos and pilots within deal timelines. Travel up to 30% within the United States is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in presales, solution architecture, platform engineering, or technical consulting in a customer-facing role.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift deployments, Helm, operators, ingress, storage, registries, and kubectl troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of enterprise stack: PostgreSQL, object/file storage (S3, Azure Blob), containers, TLS/certificates, and networking.
• Ability to lead security and compliance conversations with infra, security, and platform teams and with business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and storytelling to translate technical capability into business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer challenges, infra constraints, security requirements, and modernization initiatives.
• Design end-to-end solution and deployment architectures for Private Mendix Platform on customer-managed Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Guide customers through security and compliance conversations (FIPS encryption, secret management, IdP integration, NIST 800-53).
• Conduct technical workshops and executive briefings; act as trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle.
• Deliver compelling demonstrations of Mendix and Private Mendix Platform; stand up proof-of-concept environments.
