Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks a seasoned Project Manager to drive the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office initiatives, enabling governance, scheduling, risk management and cross-functional coordination across multiple organizations in a high-rate submarine production environment.

The role requires 5+ years in project/program management, operations, or engineering, plus a Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher OR 4+ years of supervisor experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project/program management, Operations, Construction support, Engineering, or Planning.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• Preferred: Portfolio management experience.
• Preferred: Experience with project management tools.
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification.
• Preferred: PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise initiatives across multiple organizations
• Execute project management for complex projects
• Support governance, workflows, and portfolio controls
• Integrate project plans and schedules
• Manage risk and mitigation actions
• Prepare senior-level reporting
• Facilitate cross-functional communication
• Support and coordinate improvement initiatives, including organizing and facilitating improvement events
• Support shop capacity planning and spatial planning
