Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Senior Director, PMO to lead the Enterprise PMO and drive disciplined execution of our most strategic initiatives. The role oversees governance, portfolio management, and a high-performing PMO team, acting as a trusted advisor to executive leadership.

The position requires building scalable processes, aligning projects with business strategy, and delivering measurable outcomes while partnering with senior leaders across functions in a remote US-based setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading large-scale projects, programs, portfolios, or strategic initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience leading project managers, PMO teams, or transformation organizations.
• Experience building or leading a Project Management Office.
• Demonstrated success managing enterprise-level strategic initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Strong financial, operational, and business acumen.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Experience managing complex organizational change efforts.
• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Enterprise PMO function and establish vision, strategy, and operating model.
• Manage the portfolio of strategic initiatives and prioritize resources.
• Develop and mentor PMO professionals and ensure governance and accountability.
• Establish executive governance structures and provide concise recommendations to leadership.
• Drive strategic initiative execution and ensure value realization across the organization.
• Plan resources and organizational capacity to meet project demands.
• Develop PMO metrics, dashboards, and continuous improvement processes.
