Job summary

University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Enterprise Physical Security Administrator in Philadelphia, PA, to manage the video management system, PACS, and IP intercom infrastructure. You will ensure reliable operation, performance, and compliance while collaborating with IT teams and external partners on integrations and incident response.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of experience, flexibility for on-call shifts, and strong communication with diverse campus stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-3 years of work experience, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and certifications in VMS and PACS preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule beyond standard hours, including on-call support.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and campus visitors.

Responsibilities

• Configuration, management, and maintenance of all physical security platforms and edge devices
• Continuous monitoring of system health, storage, bandwidth, and retention policy compliance
• Routine maintenance, upgrades, firmware updates, and proactive diagnostics for reliability
• Administration of user roles, permissions, access, and secure handling/export of video and logs
• Coordination with servers, storage, network, virtualization, and integration support
• Assistance with video footage/logs for investigations, audits, and incident response; live monitoring during critical events
• Maintenance of system documentation, SOPs, and training for end users and security staff
• Ensuring compliance with security policies, audit trails, and secure export procedures
• Creation and refinement of SOPs and continuous improvement of operations
• Other duties as assigned
