Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Payroll Processor Manager to provide strategic leadership for enterprise payroll operations, governance, compliance, and execution across business units. You will oversee teams, controls, and transformation initiatives while aligning with senior leaders in HR, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Legal and operations.

The role emphasizes payroll strategy, governance, risk management, and continuous improvement to ensure accuracy, timeliness and data integrity.

Qualifications

• 12 years of payroll experience with 4 years of leadership and 7 years SAP Employee Central Payroll experience.
• 7+ years multi-state payroll experience.
• Experience managing payroll vendors and third-party providers.
• Experience leading enterprise payroll operations in a large organization.
• Advanced reporting, analytics, and workforce planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise payroll operations across multiple schedules, units, and employee populations.
• Establish payroll strategy, objectives, and governance.
• Develop payroll policies, controls, and compliance programs.
• Oversee year-end payroll processing and internal controls.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal and business leaders to support objectives.
