Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership, multi-state experience.
• 5+ years leading large-scale payroll teams.
• Experience with complex, multi-entity organizations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local wage laws, payroll taxes, and compliance.
• Experience leading payroll transformation and technology implementations.
• Ability to build scalable operating models and governance frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen and executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for payroll across all entities and locations.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll administration.
• Establish governance, standards, and service levels for payroll operations.
• Lead payroll transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Manage payroll technology projects and vendor relationships.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, Tax, and executives on payroll strategy and mergers/acquisitions.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and cost optimization plans.
• Coach and develop payroll leaders and hold teams accountable.
