Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Typically 4–6 years of patch management, systems administration, or similar infrastructure security experience.
• Strong understanding of patch management principles and tooling with WSUS and SCCM.
• Proven problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills; capable of multi-tasking.
• Experience with assessments, audits, and automated patch management implementations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment, testing, and deployment of OS and app patches across enterprise endpoints using centralized tools such as WSUS, SCCM.
• Design and maintain patching schedules and maintenance windows to minimize business impact while meeting security and compliance needs.
• Troubleshoot failed patches and coordinate with admins and owners on workarounds and fixes.
• Implement and tune automated patch workflows, including targeting, rules, and deadlines.
• Monitor vulnerability feeds and compliance dashboards to prioritize patch deployment by risk and SLAs.
• Document patch management procedures, baselines, exceptions, and reporting for audits and improvements.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management and security operations to align patches with threats and regulatory obligations.
