Job summary

Legence is seeking a Vice President, Operations to partner with the COO across Installation & Maintenance and Engineering & Consulting. You will own the operating rhythm, set performance standards, and drive accountability in a decentralized, multi‑company platform.

You will lead hands‑on resolution of complex operational challenges, integrate newly acquired businesses, and influence senior leaders including the board with data‑driven insights and strategic execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive people management experience.
• 10+ years of senior operational leadership experience.
• Demonstrated P&L/operating performance ownership in a decentralized environment.
• Ability to work effectively in union and non‑union settings.

Responsibilities

• Set and advance operational priorities across I&M and E&C segments.
• Own enterprise operating rhythm with business reviews and KPI dashboards.
• Identify cross‑segment synergies and manage handoffs between units.
• Lead cross‑functional operational problem solving at scale.
• Integrate newly acquired businesses while preserving strengths.
