Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Platform Technical Lead for Enterprise Network Services to own the platform's technical journey across UK and US. You will shape strategy, drive modernization, and ensure alignment with security and business priorities.

The role requires deep expertise in network automation, enterprise networking tech, and cross‑functional leadership within a matrixed global organization. Hybrid work in NY/MA areas is supported.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in the network domain across operations, engineering and architecture.
• Formal academic qualifications in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Proven network automation and development involving production systems and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the ENS platform.
• Lead modernization initiatives: standardization, lifecycle management, OT/IT convergence.
• Provide architectural leadership across SD-WAN, LAN, Wi‑Fi, security and observability.
