Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise network across offices, branches, and data centers. The role focuses on reliability, security, and scalable network operations.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networks, proficiency with routing, switching, VPNs, and Fortinet/Juniper environments, and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related infrastructure support.
• Proven hands-on experience in enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
• Experience supporting multi-site networks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and support network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and NAC.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, servers, telephony, and LAN/WAN connectivity issues.
• Perform upgrades, firmware updates, and patching of network appliances.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability using monitoring tools.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and procedures.
• Implement device hardening per CIS benchmarks and vendor best practices.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation efforts and patch SLAs.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams on network-related projects.
