Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Network Architect/Engineer to design, deploy, test, and optimize complex enterprise networks. You will lead lab environments, validate configurations, and ensure security measures before deployment across on-prem, data centers, and cloud environments.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, DoD Secret clearance, IAT1 certification, and deep TCP/IP/BGP/OSPF/EIGRP skills, with Cisco and other vendors such as Juniper, Arista, Fortinet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to design of enterprise-scale networks (core, distribution, access).
• Develop architectures for new projects, sites, technology upgrades and expansions.
• Adapt network designs to interface with other systems while maintaining performance.
• Ensure alignment with business requirements and IT strategy.
• Lead deployments from inception to completion using established change management.
• Create deployment plans with timelines, resources, rollback, and contingency.
• Update interface designs and necessary documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during pre-deployment testing and post-deployment validation.
• Oversee configuration, integration, and testing of routers, switches, firewalls and OSs.
• Design, build, maintain, and improve network labs to simulate production.
• Use tools for validation of configurations, security policies, performance, failure scenarios.
• Assist CyberSecurity team evaluating security controls in network architecture.
• Ensure labs available for Network Engineers, Security Teams, Application Teams.
