Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Denver seeks a Network Architect 5 to serve as the enterprise authority for network architecture, long‑range technology direction, and cross‑platform integration strategy.

This role defines multi‑year architectural roadmaps, governs enterprise standards, and ensures that all network, security, and connectivity systems align with mission needs, engineering requirements, and corporate digital modernization objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering/architecture
• Expert knowledge of routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and segment routing
• Experience governing architecture review boards and enterprise decisions
• Design and implementation of large-scale WAN/LAN, data center networks, and SD-WAN
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to model network resilience, redundancy, and risk analysis
• Proficiency with modern firewalls and security architecture
• Ability to translate mission objectives into actionable network roadmaps

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year architectural roadmaps and standards
• Lead across data center, cloud, campus, launch-site, and national-defense networks
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align direction with mission objectives
• Produce architectural diagrams and design documents
• Evaluate emerging networking technologies and adoption strategies
