American Electric Power is seeking a Material Expeditor Manager to provide enterprise leadership ensuring timely delivery of mission-critical materials across major projects and outages. The role partners with Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and suppliers to mitigate risk and protect schedules.

The position offers strategic governance, performance metrics, and mentorship across the expeditor community, with a strong emphasis on executive communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field +8 years of relevant work experience.
• (Or) In lieu of Bachelor’s degree must possess an Associate’s degree in related field, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
• (Or) In lieu of Associate’s degree must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise escalation authority for critical, high impact material delivery risks affecting projects, outages, and operational commitments.
• Lead recovery efforts for the most complex and schedule critical materials, including executive level supplier escalations.
• Provide expert guidance on expediting strategy, prioritization, and risk mitigation across business units.
• Establish and maintain enterprise expediting standards, escalation protocols, and standard work.
