Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking a Material Expeditor Manager to lead enterprise expediting efforts ensuring timely delivery of critical materials for major projects and outages. The role partners with Purchasing, Logistics, and site teams to mitigate risks and protect schedules.

Responsibilities include leading complex recovery plans, setting expediting standards, and providing executive-level visibility on delivery risks and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field plus 8+ years of relevant work experience; or
• Associate’s degree in related field plus 10+ years; or
• High School Diploma plus 12+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as enterprise escalation authority for critical material delivery risks affecting projects, outages, and commitments.
• Lead recovery efforts for complex, schedule-critical materials, including supplier escalations.
• Provide guidance on expediting strategy, prioritization, and risk mitigation across units.
• Drive senior-level supplier engagement to resolve delivery issues and reliability gaps.
• Develop and execute recovery plans involving multimodal, international, or specialized logistics.
• Partner with Purchasing/Category Management to influence terms and expectations.
• Establish and govern expediting standards, escalation protocols, and metrics like on-time delivery.
