Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) is seeking a Program Manager to deliver IT services across multiple sites nationwide, including the DC Metro area.

You will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team, drive modernization and cloud initiatives, and maintain strong executive-level relationships with the customer to ensure high-quality, timely delivery of contractual requirements. The role requires a US Citizen with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of enterprise IT

Qualifications

• US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience leading enterprise IT operations or multi-functional technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior customers and delivering strategic, mission-focused support.
• Proven ability to drive modernization, cloud initiatives, and process improvement.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing teams across multiple locations preferred.
• Full-time on-site in Washington, DC; TS/Q clearance; travel 10-25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to advance the customer mission, with a strong focus on modernization, cloud adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Establish and implement objectives supporting enterprise IT operations in accordance with customer goals, contractual requirements, and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong senior-level customer relationships; serve as the primary point of contact for all program activities.
• Manage and develop personnel while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of all contractual requirements across multiple IT disciplines.
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise IT services, including network, systems, help desk, end-user support, and project management.
• Oversee multiple projects across geographically dispersed teams, ensuring alignment with mission needs and operational standards.
• Drive performance management, quality control, and continuous service improvement.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, modernization, and improved IT metrics and reporting.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Formulate and enforce work standards, assign schedules, resolve discrepancies, and maintain alignment with organizational procedures and goals.
• Operate within client guidance, contractual limits, and company policies while ensuring resources—staffing, tools, and facilities—are properly aligned for success.
• Provide technical insight and problem resolution support to teams across all locations.
