Job summary

State of Michigan’s Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) seeks an Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12 to configure and support core enterprise infrastructure, including computer management platforms, DNS services, server virtualization, identity services, and Microsoft 365 operations.

This role performs daily monitoring, administration, and escalation, supporting statewide IT operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in one or a combination of: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
• Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in related fields and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or IT technician; or two years (4,160 hours) as IT Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement.
• Educational level typically acquired through high school plus four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or IT technician, or four years (8,320 hours) as IT Student Assistant may substitute for the education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support core enterprise infrastructure systems including computer management platforms, DNS services, server virtualization technologies, account management services, Microsoft 365 operations, certificate services, and other foundational components.
• Perform daily monitoring, administration, and issue resolution for core services and serve as an escalation point for DTMB staff.
• Contribute technical expertise to major enterprise initiatives involving modernization, security enhancements, lifecycle upgrades, and statewide service implementations.

Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science or related field

Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in computer science or related field and 2 years IT experience

High school diploma with 4 years IT experience or 8,320 hours of IT Student Assistant experience
