Job summary

Novartis is seeking a senior advisor to optimize enterprise investment across the US portfolio. You will translate complex analyses into concrete recommendations for CFOs and business leaders, shaping workforce and capital investments with data-driven rigor.

Reporting into the Director, Enterprise Resource Optimization, you will partner with Finance, CoE, and analytics teams to drive budget alignment, benchmarking, and governance processes, enabling strategic decisions at the enterprise level.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in resource allocation, investment optimization, or management consulting in healthcare sectors.
• Translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of commercial investment strategy and benchmarking.
• Experience partnering with Finance on budgeting and headcount initiatives.
• Proven problem-solving skills and ability to lead in matrix organizations.
• Proficient with Excel, Power BI, Tableau and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise investment optimization across the US portfolio with data-driven recommendations.
• Develop integrated investment and workforce planning strategies using models and analyses.
• Collaborate with Finance to maximize business impact and resource allocation.
• Challenge historical investments and build fact-based allocation frameworks.
• Maintain external benchmarking capabilities to compare with industry peers.
• Translate outputs into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Serve as strategic consultant in a two-in-a-box with the CoE.
• Define business questions, shape modeling requirements, and stress-test methodologies.
• Collaborate with forecasting and governance to align priorities.
• Support enterprise planning cycles with resource optimization insights.
