Job summary

MANTECH in Laurel, MD is seeking a Systems Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure for a global mission-focused workforce. You will work with customers, IPTs, and vendors to enable and secure advanced EIT capabilities across data center and compute services.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting Linux/Windows OS, managing OpenStack deployments, writing IaC with Ansible and Puppet, and automating tasks with Python and Bash. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, CS, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline with 14 years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer OR 19 years of Systems Engineering experience with no degree.
• IAT II certification (DoD 8140) required on start; acceptable: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
• OpenStack experience across multi-region deployments.
• Linux experience including Red Hat 6, 7, 8, 9.
• Experience with Grafana and Naemon for diagnostics.
• Hypervisor VM, Ansible and Puppet experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Linux, Windows, and Red Hat OS environments (6/7/8/9).
• Provide Ubuntu support and oversee cross-platform VM lifecycles.
• Maintain OpenStack deployments across multiple regions.
• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Puppet.
• Develop end-to-end Python and Bash scripts to automate tasks.
• Manage YUM repositories (GOTS repository management).
• Use Naemon and Grafana for health monitoring and issue triage.
