Job summary

Waymo is seeking a senior leader to design, implement, and scale enterprise readiness programs for incident response and crisis exercises across safety-critical operations. You will drive strategy, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure rigorous evaluation of drills and outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience with HSEEP methodologies, regulatory collaboration, and hands-on use of complex incident management tools to improve safety performance and readiness at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Operations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10+ years designing, executing, and scaling incident readiness or crisis exercise programs in regulated environments.
• Experience integrating HSEEP with enterprise readiness programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, execution, and evaluation of incident readiness exercises across the enterprise and with external partners.
• Define and drive the incident readiness program's long-term exercise roadmap and strategy.
• Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and execution of exercises to evaluate operator proficiency and system performance.
• Establish scalable documentation and evaluation frameworks across the exercise lifecycle (needs assessments to AARs).
• Develop and oversee corrective actions tracking and closure from readiness exercises.
• Direct and support an extended workforce (xWF) team of exercise design specialists.
