Job summary

American Chemical Society in Washington, DC seeks a newly created Enterprise Grants & Awards Manager to standardize grants and awards processes, govern reporting, and support a future-state operating model. Reports to Controller, collaborates with Finance and IT to improve compliance, visibility, and efficiency across ACS grants programs.

You will drive enterprise-level governance, implement dashboards and KPIs, and act as change agent in technology-enabled grants management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in grants management or related fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational change.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience with grants management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the enterprise EGAM operating model.
• Partner with program teams to improve consistency, governance, and reporting across grants and awards programs.
• Establish reporting dashboards, KPIs, and service-level metrics.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Programs, Finance, IT and leadership.
• Support technology evaluation and integration for grants management initiatives.
• Review grant agreements for accounting implications and compliance with policies.
