Job summary

Cursor is seeking a Field Engineer to act as the technical face of the organization, partnering with customers to implement AI solutions. In this role, you will help evaluate Cursor's capabilities through demos and proofs of concept while building strong relationships with engineering leaders.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical fluency combined with excellent communication skills. You will guide customers in their engineering workflows and influence product direction through collaboration with Sales and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and executive presence.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering org structures.
• Hands-on technical ability with AI tooling.
• Customer-focused with business impact translation skills.
• Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Consulting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery and demos.
• Build trusted relationships with engineering leaders and stakeholders.
• Translate customer requirements into solution designs.
• Develop and deliver tailored technical presentations and workshops.
• Act as customer advocate internally for roadmap priorities.
• Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure successful onboarding.
• Maintain knowledge of Cursor's capabilities and competitive landscape.
• Support strategic account planning and technical validation.
